Home Staging Uk Why Exactly Does The UK Produce So Few Sporting Successes?

Why exactly does the UK produce so few sporting successes? - home staging uk

Our Olympians in Beijing, despite fantastic.

And I speak only in general terms, not by the United Kingdom.

Football: - Overpaid thoughts. In the countries of origin suffer from stage wall in the world.

Rugby - either at a higher level.

Tennis: - we hold our players like Murray and Henman. United States, Russia, France, Belgium and Spain have a lot of players.

Cricket: - Poor average.

What makes the United Kingdom, so rare sporting success? Given the pedigree of sporting successes in the past, why are we so bad being in the great sport?

Education?

The excessive development of the core funds?

Social settings (for example) "Football is the only sport?

  1. I think they are very hard.

FIFA World Cup was in 1986, except in 1994, England in the last 16 of any tournament and will have no progress at 3 occasions during this time, hardly out of the semi-finals twice, once a quarter final. They are also one of the 7 nations have ever won.

Rugby World Cup - England 2003 winners and 2007 finalists in 1991. Wales and Scotland have also reached the semi-finals. Great Britain won the Rugby League Cup 3 times and was runner up to 6 times.

Cricket - consistently among the top 5 in both forms of the game and runner on 3 Opportunities in the World Cup.

Andy Murray - World No. 3 and a finalist at the U.S. Open semi-finalist at Wimbledon quarter-finalist at the French Open and won in the first 6 months of 2009, the World Cup in mind, the Qatar Open the ABN AMRO tournament, the Miami Masters and Queens, as well as beaten as a finalist at Indian Wells - This year, Roger Federer, Rafael needle and Andy Rodick.

I agree with whatReach me your comments about the lack of development and funding of grass roots - only on the success of some of our Olympians look. But even in swimming, cycling and rowing / sailing has not hurt other events, winning only one gold medal in athletics. The sports that we are not so good, we do not receive less money.

The United Kingdom competition in sport at a higher level than any other nation, and most would be jealous of our success.

However, if you like the best thing to forget about the other and spend all your money on fundraising efforts in one or - similar to what we do with football in Brazil, Australia, cricket and rugby both. This is no way that I want the UK to take.

  2. Given the size of the population and the number of sports that we compete in the wrong too.

Soccer - England qualified 7th fastest in the world. England won the World Cup has in the past.

Rugby - England qualified 7th fastest in the world and won the World Cup in the past. Ireland, Wales and Scotland are also in the top 10

Rugby League - England are in place 3 best in the world, Ireland and Scotland are in the top 10 and Wales are ranked 12th, Britain has three times won the RL World Cup.

Cricket - England qualified 5th best test side in the world and has always been one of the best.

Perhaps there are too many countries with a better all the above. Sure, some countries better than we do in a sport, but rarely - if ever - better than we do.
