I think they are very hard.
ReplyDeleteFIFA World Cup was in 1986, except in 1994, England in the last 16 of any tournament and will have no progress at 3 occasions during this time, hardly out of the semi-finals twice, once a quarter final. They are also one of the 7 nations have ever won.
Rugby World Cup - England 2003 winners and 2007 finalists in 1991. Wales and Scotland have also reached the semi-finals. Great Britain won the Rugby League Cup 3 times and was runner up to 6 times.
Cricket - consistently among the top 5 in both forms of the game and runner on 3 Opportunities in the World Cup.

The United Kingdom competition in sport at a higher level than any other nation, and most would be jealous of our success.

Rugby League - England are in place 3 best in the world, Ireland and Scotland are in the top 10 and Wales are ranked 12th, Britain has three times won the RL World Cup.
Cricket - England qualified 5th best test side in the world and has always been one of the best.
Perhaps there are too many countries with a better all the above. Sure, some countries better than we do in a sport, but rarely - if ever - better than we do.
